We believe we will stand or fall on our reputation and that honesty is the best policy. We were recently approached by a potential member asking for a free trial whilst explaining that he knew nothing about betting on horses. Here's a copy of our response:-
"Thanks for your email. You've presented us with something of a moral dilemma to be honest. You state that you have never bet on the horses before.....have you bet on any sport? The reason we ask is because we're not sure we want to get someone involved in gambling...when they've never done so before.
Gambling by it's very nature involves an element of risk and you need to appreciate that we cannot guarantee or promise to make you a profit. What we can say is that we believe that laying horses is the most consistent way of making money at the game. We will have losing days. We will even have losing weeks. But overall, we're confident that if you are disciplined and stick to our selections, you will make a profit.
The first rule in gambling and one which you will always do well to remember is "Never bet with more money than you can afford to lose". If you don't have the discipline to follow recommendations and end up exploring other avenues away from laying, you will as a newcomer almost certainly end up losing.
We'd be delighted if you joined our tipping service but do not wish to be responsible for getting someone involved in something that they might not otherwise have got involved in. If however, after reading the above you still have a mind to sign up for the free trial please let us know. We'll be happy to give you any advice you need to get started."
..................the potential member has not been back to us and to be honest, that's the way we'd prefer it. We DO take our responsibilities to our members (and potential members) seriously. Now excuse us, we're just off to polish our halos !
